A. BADIA | 1928 | Spain :
A. Badia was a small, shortlived Catalan workshop operated by Antonio Badía in Palautordera, province of Barcelona. In 1928, Badía constructed a 100 cc singlecylinder, twostroke, supercharged racing velomotor, built specifically for competition. With this machine he participated in the Gran Premio “Escamas El Cocinero”, one of the notable regional racing events of the period. Production appears to have been limited to this competition machine, and the enterprise did not evolve into a sustained manufacturing concern. A. Badia is unrelated to the later firms Badia (Barcelona) and Moto Badia (Cambrils), which operated independently.
