Is that because ....." 207.136.37.210 Craig: I read in an article, by the late Gordon Jennings, that a little more oil makes more hp because it reduces the friction (imagine that!) and helps cool the piston too. He went on to say that some tuners leaned the mix way out in order to avoid fouling plugs, to the detriment of the engine, and he prefered to run the engine slightly richer that most. He would rather foul a plug occasionally that melt an engine. I gotta agree, a fouled plug is a lot cheaper than a rebuild.
