I have seen posts on other two-stroke lists regarding a possible phaseout of two-stroke injector oils. Mineral based oils first to be followed by semi-synthetics. The time frame I think starts in 2003 or 2004 for the phase out. The replacement is some sort of solid material that would be premixed. Is this a bunch of baloney or is there a real pending threat? If not baloney, now would be the time to start buying injector oil at the rate of a case a month for the future. Does anyone know the shelf life of injector oil and what kind of alternative might work as albeit a poor replacement? What about the 2W stuff for water craft? What about old SAE 30 weight?
