The French made Werner earns its place
in the top 100
because it lead with the placement of the motorcycle engine in the frame (in fact becoming
part of the frame). This simple arrangement made the Werner the most sophisticated
motorcycle in the world in its time. With low weight and relatively good power the 230cc
Werner went on to great success in sporting and reliability trials.
